NHS Cannock Chase Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is responsible for buying healthcare services.
Now patients and other interested members of the public can find out more about their activity in the last 12months and priorities for the year ahead with the publication of their Annual Report and Accounts for 2017/18 published today (right click to download).
It also explains how local people can get involved in how healthcare services are planned, delivered and monitored.
Dr Mo Huda, Chair of Cannock Chase CCG said: “I would like to thank our staff and colleagues for everything they have achieved over the past year.A big change this year is we now have a single leadership team across all six CCGs in Staffordshire. This will mean we do things once and not six times, whilst still buying the healthcare services that are needed locally in each area.”
He continued: “As well as tackling the demand for urgent care, the financial deficit and other local challenges, we have agreed three shared priorities across the six CCGs. Our focus will be to support our ageing population to manage complex long term conditions, reduce inappropriate hospital admissions from care homes and support patients to have greater choice and compassionate care at the end of life. We hope this will help some of our most vulnerable patients to receive timely and quality care.”
Cannock Chase CCG’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held onThursday 5 July from 6.30pm at Aquarius Ballroom, Hednesford (WS12 1BT) and is open to all to attend.
