Dr Free has been a partner at Red Lion Surgery in Cannock since 2003. He attended Nottingham University followed by post graduate training at Queen's Hospital in Burton.
He has been involved in commissioning even before the CCG existed, working on Back Pain which ultimately led to the Musculoskeletal Integrated Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service (MICATS) which we have today. He has been involved in commissioning the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) service for Cannock as well as a number of Any Qualified Provider (AQP) evaluations and the introduction of Map of Medicine.
As planned care lead he works with colleagues in primary and secondary care to redesign patient pathways ensuring a simpler journey for patients as well as better outcomes. Dr Free joined the governing body in 2015 and also sits on the Finance, Performance and Contracts committee as well as the Clinical Priorities Advisory Group (CPAG) and Individual Funding Requests (IFR) committees.
